Convention season is in full swing here in Houston. The conventions we list today do have tickets that are discounted until June or later. So to make sure you know and get the best price we will mention them first and then back to our usual list of local events especially if you love you love games and comic books stores.

Anime Matsuri is an annual anime, Japanese culture, and related arts convention hosted at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Join thousands of fans and explore over 1,800,000 sq feet of anime, panels, workshops, Special Guests, celebrities, Vendor/Exhibitor area, Artist Alley/showcase, live concerts, Cosplay Contests, Gaming, and over 800 hrs of programming including a Japanese fashion show!

They do have limited time discounts and day passes so if you are interested and want a better deal. You might want to grab it now. If we see any other deals on tickets. We will update you on this in future issues.

Celebration of Japanese culture held indoors at NRG Center in Houston, Texas. Bringing together over 400 vendors from nationwide to showcase Japanese Culture for 2 Days. Enjoy the scene from car shows, concerts, programs, arcades, martial arts, samurais , voice actors and so much more on June 14 and 15 (Father's Day Weekend).

Time for our Local Game Store minute

Houston is home to many local game and comic book stores and in this section we are going to highlight your future new favorite place to game.

This gaming/cafe is a great place if you want a mix of good people, kid friendly and food. Never had their coffee but the atmosphere is very chill. They do have MTG standard tournaments that you can join for a fee. MTG is $10 and the next one is May 25th @ 2pm.

Coming this Friday May 23rd at Coral Sword is the LGBTQ Board Game night

This happened every two weeks. This group is for any lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer people and LGBTQ+ allies interested in playing tabletop board games. This group is for all levels of board gamers. If you are a long time gamer, please feel free to bring some of your faves. The goal of this group is to have fun and provide a place to meet some new gamers around town!
